Need vector graphics? Try Inkscape.

I’ve been meaning to try it out for a while, but today I finally installed Inkscape, an open-source SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) editor. I must say I’m pretty impressed with it already — The UI is easy to understand, and it’s packed with features. One feature I especially like is that there’s pre-made templates for different things — DVD menus, web banners, business cards, CD covers, even desktops.

I’d recommend this to anyone who uses vector graphics. It may not be Adobe Illustrator but it’s free.

hello, I have started with Inkscape recently and it’s awesome tool, not only cause it’s free, but it have many features AI has. New v0.47 is coming out in few days, I think.
