It’s great for looking up old newspaper articles. Sometimes you have to pay for access (which sucks) but the advanced search lets you look for just articles available for free. Take a look.

Tired of people asking questions that can be easily answered with Google? Use this service to give them a hint.
Sometimes, you may come across some website (Dogpile) or program (Copernic Agent) that searches several engines at the same time. This is called meta-searching. While you may get results you don’t in other places, it may get messy, too, especially with duplicate results.
Here’s a site about metasearching that some of you may find useful.
This is actually quite scary. It searches the US Public Records and brings up information about people — either strangers or old friends.
All right, so you’ve heard a song on the radio, but don’t know the title. Well, if you’ve caught part of the lyrics, you may be in luck. Just type them into Google surrounded by quotation marks, and add lyrics.
Here is an example:
“Somewhere, somehow, somebody must have kicked you around some” lyrics
Leads to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers — Refugee.
